Personal papers of Frank A. Beu, fourth president of Western Illinois University (1942-1958). Beu also served as Dean of Students and professor at Ferrum Junior College (1958-1961), Dean of Students, Chair of the Psychology Department, and professor at Simpson College (1961-1964). Key to the collection is the documents of controversy surrounding Beu's treatment of student athletes that culminated with his resignation from Western Illinois University.
